Beneath the Service and Trippy Outdoor Announce Partnership to Launch Custom Trippy Chair Supporting Veterans

Trippy Outdoor and Beneath the Service Collaborate to Celebrate Military Veterans

September 10th, 2024  — Washington, D.C. and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Beneath the Service, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering military veterans and their families, and Trippy Outdoor, a Dallas-Fort Worth based company known for its innovative, artistically designed outdoor furniture, are proud to announce a unique collaboration that blends radical design with meaningful social impact. Together, they've launched a custom Trippy Chair available to the public, with a portion of the proceeds supporting Beneath the Service’s programs.

This collaboration brings together a one-of-a-kind seating solution designed for adventures both close to home and far afield. Built in Texas using the finest sugar maple and sapele, the custom Trippy Chair is designed to hold up to 1,000 lbs, offering stunning visuals that will never fade and comfort that surprises. The chair is perfect for use on the patio, at the beach, in the woods, at festivals, or anywhere you need a stylish, comfortable seat.

Empowering Veterans Through Design

Beneath the Service is dedicated to building upon the exceptional qualities of military veterans and their families, empowering them to successfully reintegrate into society and become influential leaders in their communities and workplaces. The organization’s flagship program, the Women Veterans Leadership Program, along with their (re)Orient Identity sessions, addresses the psychological components of social reintegration by crafting intentional pathways that uncover the unique facets of each participant's identity.

Shane Dawson, Manager at Trippy Outdoor, shared, “We love Beneath the Service's message that military service isn't the peak of a veteran's life but the starting point of a lifelong journey of leadership and personal growth. We’ve always believed in marrying radical design with important causes. The opportunity to craft an amazing seat for amazing veterans and their families and friends means a lot to us.”

"Our mission at Beneath the Service is to honor who our veterans were and support the definition of who they might become," said Niki Marin, Founder and President of Beneath the Service. "The custom Trippy Chair is more than a piece of furniture—it’s a symbol of resilience, creativity, and the importance of finding one’s place in the world after military service. We’re excited to offer this product to our supporters and to contribute to the ongoing success of our programs through this initiative.”

Both Trippy Outdoor and Beneath the Service share a commitment to social impact, making this partnership a natural fit. We’re honoring a shared appreciation for exceptional design that values quality craftsmanship," said Leo Marin, Co-Founder and VP of Operations at Beneath the Service. "This partnership is more than just a collaboration—it’s representative of creating functional tools that carry deep symbolic meaning that are rich in significance."

The custom Beneath the Service Trippy Chair is available for purchase on Trippy Outdoor’s website. A portion of the proceeds from each chair sold will directly benefit Beneath the Service, supporting their continued efforts to empower veterans and their families.
